About Us

Simply put, It’s a Girl Thing is about you!

Ever since opening our doors on June 1, 2007, we’ve learned a few things about women.

Shopping is a unique experience:

We are in the business of consignment, because it allows us to turn your old experiences with gently worn jewelry, purses, shoes, and accessories in the past and give them new ones.

The purse or handbag you loved coming off the shelf may have been a great affair, but may not turn out to be a long-lasting relationship you had hoped for. A special occasion may have called for a new pair of shoes, but perhaps those Christian Louboutin heels haven’t seen the light of day since that wedding you went to three months ago.

That ring you tried too many attempts to make new again, may still remain old because you couldn’t get rid of the dust or the thought of that nasty ex that gave it to you.  Between the act of shopping and the things you actually own, every experience writes a unique story, and you ultimately control the ending.

There is a thrill in finding a unique one-of-a-kind item:

We never know what comes through our doors, but what we always aim for everything on our shelves to be a one-of-a-kind unique item. Our fans know us for being able to find special items for themselves, or something to inspire a loved one in their lives (men, this doesn’t exclude you).

This thrill has fueled our business and has us voted the “Best Consignment Store of Silicon Valley”  for both 2010 and 2011, by the readers of San Jose Mercury News.

If you don’t know what you’re looking for, we’ll help you find it. And if you can’t find it in our store when you arrive, who knows, it may be there when you get back!

You’ll love a great find when it is attached to a great bargain:

We’ve met girls who are looking to make that first big investment into a designer purse, but perhaps didn’t know where to start. A fair share of fashionistas who know that great style is timeless, have been through our doors and constantly come back for more.

What ties our special fans together, is that when it comes at a great bargain, it becomes harder to say no. And with things like Louis, Chanel, and YSL, it definitely is more fun to say yes.
